£22-£25 — Clay as a threshold to deep rest . A weekly evening of slow hands and dream states . A space to burrow down, go underground - dark and quiet and slow.
Format: Weekly drop-in or termly-booking evening session
Duration: 1.5 hours, Thursday evenings
Facilitator: Rhona W Paterson (Artist and Founder First Hand Studio)
Capacity: 8–15 participants , no experience needed
Come weary. Leave dreamy…
Structure: (90 minutes)
Welcome & settle — 5 min
Arrive, sit, brief verbal check-in (no sharing required).
Clay grounding / Guided Meditation —30 / 40 min
Eyes closed or downcast, hands in a bounded amount of soft clay. No talking, no looking,
no goal of making anything. Simple breath-and-touch guidance throughout — this is a
quiet, private way of settling the nervous system through touch rather than conversation.
Dreaming — 35 min
Wash hands in water and scented oils (bowls provided). Participants invited to recline and
get comfortable with soft cushions and covers.
Close — 10 min
Hands washed, clay collected, quiet goodbye.
Weekly continuity
Because it recurs, each week can carry a very light seasonal or sensory theme (e.g.
warmth, weight, water) without needing new material or extra planning — the structure
stays identical, only the verbal prompts shift though the guided part of the meditation.
