Genuine Quirk - Pottery Club

  • House of Toad 23 Park Circus Glasgow, Scotland, G3 6AP United Kingdom (map)

Whether it's your first go or a project you've dreamed up, enjoy a chilled social evening with clay! BYOB welcome!

Looking for a creative, low-pressure way to spend an evening? Pottery Club is a relaxed, self-led handbuilding pottery session where you can try clay for the very first time, or finally start that project you’ve always wanted to make.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some clay experience, this is your chance to unwind, get hands-on, and enjoy making in good company. A studio tutor will be around to offer guidance and answer questions, but the session is all about exploring your own ideas at your own pace.

What’s included:

2-hour pottery session

Clay, tools & materials

Bisque firing

Clear glaze (or book another session to decorate with underglazes!)

A relaxed, social atmosphere

BYOB (bring your favourite drink and a cup)

How it works:

This is a self-led class, so you can make whatever you like—from mugs and bowls to sculptural pieces. Beginners can ask our tutor for some help getting started, while those with experience are free to dive straight into their ideas.

We’ll fire your piece once and glaze it clear, unless you come back for a decoration session. You’ll be contacted when your work is ready to collect (usually 3–4 weeks later).

Whether you come solo or with a friend, Pottery Club is all about slowing down, getting creative, and having some fun with clay.
